How do I order online?
We have tried to make ordering online as simple as possible. Browse our 1000’s products by navigating the drop down menus to view products in grid format. Once you have found the product you wish to purchase you need to follow the 3 step ordering procedure:
- Select Item & Quantity – Use the drop down box if applicable to choose the size/colour of the item and enter the quantity you wish to buy in to the box
- Customisation – Use this section to make the item your own. You will be asked to answer a series of questions which are relevant to the item you are ordering. Here you will be able to add engraving, choose centres and add logos
- Add to Cart – Once you have chosen and personalised your item
How do I add engraving and how should I set it out?
Once you have selected your item and quantity, you will be asked to customise your product. You will be asked: Would you like your trophy plate engraved? If you answer Yes you will be presented with Engraving Instructions. Please clearly state your requirements here. If we have any queries we will contact you.
I want to order several of the same item. I would like them all engraved differently, how do I do this?
You have two choices. You can put all the information in to the Engraving Instructions box or send us the information via email to info@trophies-direct.co.uk. When choosing to email we recommend you enter ENGRAVING SENT BY EMAIL in the Engraving Instructions box.
What engraving font do you use on your trophy plates?
The most common font we use is similar to a Microsoft/TrueType Times Roman. All font choices however are left at the discretion of our experienced engraving team. If you wish to use a certain font style or format please contact us to see what we can do but be aware this may be subject to an additional charge.
How are trophy plates engraved?
All our trophy plates are engraved using a state of the art computerised engraving machine. A diamond tip cutter is dragged over the surface of the plate, with the end result being a classic engraved look with vibrant marking to the metal.
Can I see an engraving proof?
Yes of course. If you would like a proof prior to engraving please indicate this in the Engraving Instructions box. We would strongly encourage this if you have any specific recommendations. We want your award to be just how you want it. You will receive your proof shortly before we start the engraving process and your order will be held up while we wait for your approval.
What is a centre?
A centre is a circular disc that inserts in to a trophy recess. Centres can be used to customise your award to suit a particular sport or pastime. We have a large selection of centres to choose from.
How do I choose a centre?
Awards which take a centre will trigger Add a Centre in the Customisation section. If you choose Yes your will be given the choice of the following options:
- Brochure/display centre
- Choose Centre
- Use my own logo
If we have nothing on our website suitable please contact us to see what we can come up with. If you choose No we will supply your award without a centre and assume you have your own.
Can I add my own logo as a centre?
Yes, we are able to produce our own 1” and 2” domed acrylic centres. On products where this option available you will be prompted to Add a Centre when customising your product. Simply select the option Use my own centre. If we do not have your logo on our system, please email it to info@trophies-direct.co.uk. The minimum requirement we would prefer it in is a coloured jpeg format. Production may take up to 2 weeks. For poor quality images an artwork origination cost may be incurred. If this is the case we will advise before sending centres for production.
How is glassware engraved?
All our glassware is ‘sandblasted’ in house. Sandblasting is a high quality engraving method where white aluminium oxide, is blasted onto glass. This finish provides an even, crisp image, with a nice matt white colour and deeply engraved into the glass. Glass can be machine or laser engraved, however we believe that sandblasting provides a superior finish.
Can I add my own logo to glass awards?
Yes, adding logo/artwork to a glass award strongly enhances its value and appearance. During Customisation you will be given the chance to add a Custom Logo. Please email your logo to info@trophies-direct.co.uk, including your name and order number. Please send pure black and white EPS file. A high quality tif or jpg file may be adequate if it is 100% black against a 100% white background (no colours or greys). If we have used your logo before please advise in the engraving instructions box above.
Please note, If your logo is in other formats there may be a re-draw cost depending on the quality of the logo, we will quote for the re-draw before we do any work.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/Debit Cards: We accept payment from all major credit/debit cards via our secure online checkout system. All card transactions are carried out by Sage Pay, a market leader in online transactions. Orders online require immediate payment. We are more than happy to take credit card payment over the phone.
Post: We understand that many clubs/societies are not able to use credit/debit cards. We are able to accept cheques. When sending cheques by post they must be cleared before the order is sent out. Please make cheques payable to Trophies Direct.
PayPal: We accept Paypal. Please see https://www.paypal.co.uk/uk for information on PayPal payments.
How do I know my online transactions are safe?
Online fraud is a growing concern and can be costly for business as well as consumers. It is a top priority of Sage Pay top to ensure that transaction data is kept secure at all times which is why we comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)., All businesses accepting card payments need to meet the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Being PCI DSS compliant reduces the risk of card data getting into the wrong hands.
Is VAT included in the price shown?
Yes, all prices shown on our website are inclusive of VAT
Do you offer discounts?
We do. We will occasionally offer discount codes and special offers on our website, however appreciate everybody’s order is individual. It would be impossible to put a discount structure in place. We are happy to discuss discounts with you and will also look to match any quotes you have received from elsewhere.
Are you able to offer a quote?
Of course we are. Please email or call with the products you are looking at and we will tailor a quote to your requirements.
Can I collect my order from in store?
Yes, please highlight the box collect from store at the bottom of the add to cart section when ordering your product.
What are your opening hours?
Our shop opening hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm. We would advise you call or email to arrange a collection time and date.
